During my recent parent-teachers meeting
at school, some parents were discussing about Daily News Paper given to all
children from school. It is not a complete edition of paper. School gives main
paper and no supplements.
Parents concern was, kids read unwanted news from the paper. Kids are already
exposed to many unwanted details, then why to increase. Instead parents
suggested, teacher liked, that parent should go through the paper on daily
basis, hardly for 10 minutes, along with kids. Parent should read out important
news, for them (or allow them to read).
So that its one of the ways to spend quality time, on daily basis, with them,
as well kids will know which news to follow / read.
At the same time teacher promised that she will make sure to provide children-centric news paper in future.
