Competitions at school

My kids were participating in one of the competitions at school, where they were supposed to talk on one of the given topics. The topics which was given to me to think and suggest was "Generation gap" and "Waste Management" (two kids, u know). It was around 6am and I was given hardly any time to think about these topics.

The duration of talk per kid at school was 3 minutes. Instantly I thought about following:

"Generation Gap": Points by me: IT is helping different generation to come closure and reducing the gap nicely. Now elders wish to be young, fit, healthy and mix well with youngsters, again, reduced gap. Previous generation have accepted the mall culture, modern outfits, fast-food, Ola, WA, FB and what not, again kind of no gap, etc. Tried my best to introduce positive approach regarding this topic.

"Waste Management": Points: e-waste, types of waste, initiatives by different companies, corporate, automatic kitchen attachments introduced by many industries for instant wet waste management, fixing of and usage of InSinkErator (daily), good food habits, introduction of eatable spoons, handmade paper from vegetable peels, reuse of fruits skin etc.

Good food for thought for me too. A big thanks to school, kids and the tiny event due to which I was able to think differently.

All such surprises force me to keep myself updated by reading new details regularly, reducing the generation gap for sure.
