To a huge foody person like me someone introduced a new middle eastern speciality called Baklawa during my USA days. Wow, since then till date i am a more than huge fan of it. During all my international trips I always used to make it a point to check for it on international airports and found it a couple of times too. We all friends once took a long road trip to one of our batch-mates. One of our friends purchased kilos of Buklawa for the host and his family, and he unknowingly told us in the vehicle only, that it. It took hardly any time to open and start having those varieties of Baklawas in the vehicle only. Wow, what an awesome memories to cherish. In the USA these Baklawas used to have filling and topping of dry fruits which were really very high quality. Initially I used to be really surprised about the taste. Last year while coming back from Bangalore from Diwali break, while exploring Bangalore international airport, to my surprise, I found Baklawas there too, immediately purchased them and had. Wow. Ofcourse they were kind of similar but like "Indian Chinese", it was "Indian Baklawas", slightly different though. But still things which we get rarely are cherished more, right. Big thanks to all those who thought about this dessert, who mastered and constantly make these for huge fans like me. Today I saw even further indianized form, chocolate Baklawas, fruit-jam filled Baklawas etc. OMG.
