Insult....

 I am narrating my observations since my childhood days, entirely spent in Maharashtra. And Pangat is a enjoyable and respected culture in Maharashtra in those years. "Pangat means sit down on ground or on chair+table for eating food and people will serve you". "Buffet" fashion / practice / culture came later, many years later. From my point of view Pangat and Buffet is totally opposite to each other especially when Pangat is at home for a special event or festival. In general elders always used to suggest kids and all "not to talk" while eating food, and its so true even from science perspective. Another reason again from science perspective is to concentrate while eating food, eat food when its hot, so that it will be digested easily and other hungry people who are waiting will get place to occupy in the next round of Pangat. With so many reasons, I still recollect we used to enjoy food in Pangat due to the variety, and exactly due to so many items in the plate we used to concentrate and eat, which is definitely giving respect to the food. As to live this life, one of the important items is food, other than many others, it is also said that if we get fresh and healthy food two times a day indicates we are really lucky.

Now in this so called modern world, with the invent of technology, at canteen, at home or in restaurants too, many a times I have observed that people make "Best Use" of two given hands, by one hand / thumb they surf the net and with other they eat food, "what is going in?", God knows.

A very simple question "Why?".

And this is not enough my dear friends, sometimes or many a times background music or TV is also going on at the same time.

According to me its a huge insult of food which we are getting in front of us.

So a humble request to all the readers, kindly keep your phones / any gadgets aside for 15-20 minutes and enjoy / cherish the food, look at the variety of colors we fortunately have in our plate, with a range of tastes too. Say thanks to the giant efforts of farmers for providing us the food in ample quantity.
