My kids started exploring the outside world and school really early. I mean we put them in school at very tender age and still today I feel extremely bad about it. Anyways.
So due to which they were forced to learn many things and of course enjoyed being with many other same age group kids too, at the same time. The forced learning started with memorizing parents names, full names, address, telephone number / landline number and parents mobile numbers too. And it was a task given to me or rather I chose to make sure that both of them know these details by heart. Poor chaps, they also learned everything and were giving answer like parrots as and when asked, for confirmation. Oh man, it was really a task for their tiny brains and for me too, as to make it more interesting and on top of that informing them why they should know all these details. Whom to tell and "not to tell" these details, OMG. Alerting them about strangers, bad touch and what not, as a part of parenting was too much at the fragile / delicate age for them as well for me. Yeah gone are those days, but still looking back feels odd at times. When I was a kid, there was no need to by heart these details for many reasons, my mom was homemaker, no telephone, and people were or surroundings were safe. Hence might be I am gauging the difference.
