Wai$$$$$$$ting for mom

Two-three generations but almost similar scenarios, wow, remembered my olden golden days again.

My mom used to follow extremely strict regime of chanting mantras, stotras etc. on a daily basis. It was an unwritten rule then that during mom's pooja time, all of us need to maintain silence. But as a kid, I used be bit restless, as only at that time, I used to feel like being with mom, sing, switch on TV or cassette player, or take out something from dabba to eat etc. But at the same time while maintaining silence and in this fix i used to keenly hear or observe when mom reaches almost the end of her stotras or pooja regime and then used to feel like a free bird.  Might be thats the reason why even today I still recollect her entire regime of chanting. Wow.

Experiencing the same while working from home these days, conducting lectures, exams online and my kids now wait for me to say "thank you, take care" and then they come running, as they are waiting to use microwave, stove or something to munch. OMG, repetition of scene but after ages and with different mom, requirement and the background.
