Today "International Cake
Festival" was organized by Kekiz in Pune. We went & was overwhelmed to
see almost 450+ unique differently decorated cakes, either half, one or two kgs
cakes, at the entrance aisle..
Apart from that Kekiz made theme cakes too, showcasing chess-board, varied fish
types, foot ball court, cricket ground and the most spectacular was entire
Bhahubali set crafted using sponge cake & fondant. Most important part is:
the team leader of Kekiz is a girl. Kekzi spend humongous amount of money for
organizing this workshop for two long days.
Me & my kids are huge fans / followers of various giant cake making
programs on TLC channel on TV and other Discovery channels and these programs
are arranged by and participated by several individuals / business-units /
groups etc. from USA, UK and other countries from many years now. This was the
only reason why we rushed to see the wide platter of theme cakes.
Frankly speaking these theme cakes in festival today were lacking finishing,
accuracy and innovations. None the less, it was a nice change today for us.
