Yes I am totally aware of importance of connect with like minded people and professional for growth of self, others, society, institute and country at large. Hence including me all professionals from various walks of life are on LinkedIn platform and were / are benefiting from it. To be on LinkedIn or to continue on LinkedIn an individual needs a profile, a collection and achievements to talk about. This platform provides the place to portray virtual you. Its kind of prestigious, prosperous and blessed to be on such platform as it displays the strengths of individuals including education, background, experience, places, people, personality and what not.
Its a "one stop solution" while looking for apt personalities. To me this is the place to be and a highly motivating platform for the growth of an individual and others connected effectively.
For me crafting my own profile was initially the aim but now I feel extremely proud that my own daughter is connected yet again with me on this platform. She went through my profile as in these tiny years my work place, my PhD scholars, my family and the society poured so many opportunities on me, that the profile on LinkedIn is crafted automatically. What else to ask for, I immediately went on Cloud-9 literally. Next generation is feeling like connecting with me is truly an achievement, far far better than any tangible certificates, pats on back, increments and what not. I was in love with the name of this platform, its objectives and now adoring more due to this professional, value-added bond between my engineer-to-be daughter Varnika.
There is a proverb / saying that when your kids fit into your shoes treat them a friends as they are now successful grown-ups. Its the correct time to edit / append / change this saying a bit like this: when your kids checks your LinkedIn profile and send requests to connect means.............
I am truly blessed to experience this in my life.
