From no to huge records

I still recollect those olden golden days when we used to breath without internet around as a major part of fresh air. In those golden days visits to doctors were minimal because of many reasons very well known to all of us. But in rare conditions when we used to visit the medical professionals doctors used to insist patients to carry his / her medical records, prescriptions, (yellow or any other) card if any etc. to name a few. Those were the days when medical health record keeping was absolutely not known to medical fraternity as far as OPD is concerned. Then slowly I guess the concept of maintaining hard copy of records began, but again was on very small scale. This could be due to doctors were blessed with huge memory and the concept of family doctors going on generations together used to help easy diagnosis by doctors. There were many more reasons including no law related to data saving and crunching.

But today doctors and as well as all individuals are so much into keeping records as its done automatically not only by their IoT enabled smart watch, smart phone, yoga laptops and cloud storage as well as varied online web services too. This transition from no to huge records is little irritating for me. Every individual feels that they now know everything about their inner world too, precisely in digits with awesome visualizations. So did this huge data crunching is really helping individuals at large? I have my own doubts. If every minute details about health is known, then why mental health issues, stress and other things are increasing, especially in physically fit young people? As I am not aware of it, seeking answers from my readers please.
