Nonverbal communication

Recently, and fortunately, I was in the audience of one of the spectacular programs. This program was spread over 3 days, and it was full of so much fun, witnessing hard work and coordination, and enjoying the vibes. I learned a lot. The "Cherry on the Cake" was one performance per day. The first day was a thrilling performance by the most youthful gals in their late 70s, and it was mind-blowing. The way they turned, twisted, and played with the famous songs, wow, just wow. Yet another day with astounding performances by siblings, and the wow factor was their nonverbal communication with each other throughout their performance. They were moving around the words of the songs, all over the stage, with the musical beats, as if they were one. I don't have a word in my vocabulary to describe their on-stage chemistry.

I witnessed exactly the same experience, feelings, and wholesome package recently when two of my students performed on the stage. Yeah, true, but with a twist. Here, the stage was in the classroom, and the performance was the final project presentation and viva. I witnessed the same effortless chemistry through nonverbal communication, eye contact, and body language, as well as a lot of enjoyment with strong work. Superb. These acts became more precious to me as the third day of the program featured yet another performance of two siblings, the elder attempting to portray how superior she was while focusing all of her attention and efforts on self, unnecessary moves, steps in her own world.

So when in a team, be one and portray your work as one, irrespective of kind of stage you are on.
