I recently reconnected with an old school friend—someone from a different section—and though I don't recall much from those early days, the person he is now is truly astonishing.
I'm not just impressed; I'm deeply struck by his composure. He is the epitome of rock-solid steadiness, mindfulness, calmness, and soft-spoken grace. He is clearly grounded, extraordinarily talented, and incredibly successful. Wow.
Observing his stability naturally brought up a question I’ve been wrestling with: Is this profound steadiness and inner strength a direct result of consistent wealth? Does financial stability inherently translate into this level of calm, suggesting that material comfort is, indeed, paramount for inner peace? It's a challenging thought.
Beyond his professional success, he is a great listener, embodying the concept of Satsang (the company of truth or good people). This brings me to my deepest wonder: Why didn't our paths cross like this earlier?
We were known to each other, so physically near in school, yet I never benefited from this kind of advisory companionship. I can't help but think how much stronger and steadier my overall personality might have been shaped by having such a Satsang earlier in life.
I know I can't change the past, but I am incredibly grateful for this reconnection. It proves that the right connection arrives exactly when you need it.
Thank you, my friend. Your presence is a true lesson in composure and character.
