2440: From Turbulence to Clarity… A Simple Practice

A small yet powerful moment from "Mere Sai" serial on Sony Liv stayed with me today.

A devotee once asked Sai, "Please perform a miracle so my business becomes successful. I have already failed in three ventures." Sai gave him an earthen pot and asked him to fetch water from a nearby pond.

The first time, the water was muddy.
The second time, it was still muddy.
The third time, it appeared clear.

He brought the water back. Sai then added a handful of soil into it again. The devotee got frustrated. "Why did you spoil it again? How will this quench your thirst?" Sai calmly replied, "Wait. Let the soil settle. The water will become clear again."

And then He explained:

"Your mind works the same way.
When it is disturbed, your decisions go wrong.
So before taking any important decision, pause.
Take some water, add soil, and let it settle.
Till then, chant Ram’s name. Speak your thoughts to Him.
Allow the disturbance to settle. A clear mind always shows a clear path."

For me, the real takeaway is this:

"Don’t do this only in moments of urgency.
Make it a daily practice to chant Ram’s name.
It gradually cleanses the mind.
So when the time comes to decide, your mind is already clearer, calmer, and more aware."
