From past few years even though I have cook-mavshi at home, still I feel like making something almost every day, rather just to help her in kitchen is the main motto. In that then unknowingly we decided that she will make entire preparation required for vegetable, dal or breakfast and then I will enter in style in my kitchen to just do tadka, put all required masala / spices etc. Thats it, my work is done. The taste part is my duty, rest all she will take care.
I am enjoying being Chef since my early college days itself, since then my dad used to wait for weekend to come, so that I will have holiday and we will make something different and good, say pav-bhaji, idly, dosa, and what not. Dad was at home as he took early / voluntary retirement and used to go to work part-time. So he used to buy, wash, clean and keep every thing ready for me to cook, wow. We both used to enjoy spending time together and giving mom a tiny break.
The other day when I made pav-bhaji at home, Varnika was really not interested in having it. She was all for pasta and she was planning to make it herself. She kept her vegetables and other stuff fried and ready. Only boiling pasta and mixing was left out. As the dinner time started approaching, while making pav-bhaji I kept the water for boiling for her pasta, took out required quantity of pasta and other stuff. When she came down to make it, she was rather surprised to see the ready things.
Its now immune in me, and I am aware how much the cook enjoys when the ingredients are kept ready. I must say Parampara continues... And I am very happy for it. I wish to rather be fit and fine always, keep working, its fun, "feel good" factor for me, ofcourse this chef-way, not doing everything myself.
