My first boss after coming back to India and after resuming my work was a retired major gen. Throughout his life almost he worked on enhancing and making English as the most strong point from communication, writing, verbal and from all perspectives.
We used to spend lot of time together as I got to learn not only about English but also the disciplined way of handling things from him and in turn he used to learn about use of technology from me, including writing mails and surfing net etc. Those were the initial days of using internet for him, now he is more than expert in using technology extremely effectually.
He always used to mentioned that "Mam, before pressing the send button provided by email service provider, read the body of text again to confirm whether we have written details correctly or not". And since then its so immune in my system that I definitely follow it for sure, but get to see many who do not bother to check details before hitting the send button. From past few days came across many such text details and hence recollected his apt words and suggestions. So valuable indeed. After all he was the person of ethics, the author of many books on ethics and a living legend of this English term ethics. He used to map and connect ethics with every possible concept, activities and services and it was worth it. Missing him and his presence indeed. So much to learn from him.
