Paradigm shift

I was a school going kid then and with my schoolmates visited one of our friend's house, for the first time, might be because of her birthday, I guess. That friends place was totally different, posh, stylish and full of wall mounted fixed furniture. Those were my days where nothing in my house, neighbours house or friends house was wall mounted. All furniture items used to be movable. Godrej almiras were in trend due to their sturdiness and safety.

When we entered her bedroom, it was a the most beautiful and different vision altogether as all four walls were full of wardrobes, all the way from roof to floor. Deva. I couldnt resist and asked finally why you need so much place? to store what?

OMG, then she explained and showed us her extremely neatly and season-wise arranged wardrobe. We all became truly speechless by looking at it. I thought for a moment that i am at one of the stores, not at home. Variety at its peak for us, range of colors as if there is a static rainbow in her room, with wide variety of dresses, sweaters, umbrellas, footwear, bags and what not. At this moment also her room is in front of my eyes, as it is, even after so many years. Her family values and background was extremely rich, wealthy and of course from business class. Wow. Truly a paradigm shift from totally movable furniture around for years to such mostly fixed one observed for the first time.
