Many a times renowned chefs said that the food is consumed at 3 different levels or ways, and hence the first lesson to learn by all is to concentrate on all these ways for sure. And the ways are:
1. By the great tempting looks of
a. a dish or
b. food severed or
c. the overall presentation
2. By the fragrance or aroma of food / dish prepared
3. Finally the actual taste.
I agree to all these professional chef's thoughts till yesterday, but no more. I found one additional level/ way, and this is the novel first initial level according to me, especially in these new-normal days.
Food joints are functioning partially in the form of home deliveries only as there are needy customers. The packing of food plays extremely important role according to me. By looking at the simple yet charismatic packing also creates interest in enjoying the food, even before the looks of the food or the fragrance or taste. Yesterday when I ordered food from my friend, she is an expert in home cooked south Indian dishes, the way food was delivered neatly was the first aha moment for me. To the extent that I immediately felt that she should be in packing industry in addition to food. Recently on LinkedIn I came across a write up /story where a small boy writing tiny messages on the food containers prepared by his mom along with smiley or emojis. What a thought indeed and help. How much the end user will feel happy after looking at such thoughtfully packed containers. Superb ideas indeed.

Looking at the package first – presentation – aroma – taste. Right?
