I was home yesterday and hence with all other few household chores, I was ready
with bundle of clothes for ironing. Hence called up the iron-wala's mobile
number. Tried multiple time, but there was absolutely no response. He always
talk in Hindi with his customers so thought that he is enjoying Eid and hence
might be enjoying holiday too. But then asked my neighbor, she asked to call
late evening, did that and he finally picked up the call. When asked why he
never answered my phones before, it was a complete Puneri answer which I
received and that was "Madamji, from 1-4pm we prefer to relax, by keeping
our mobile phones on completely silent mode".
Wow, learned a lot from him, taking out time for self, without the mobile device
is feasible and necessary.... even though not in wild afternoon though.
He became pakka Puneri, even though he is not from Pune by origin.
Wrote on FB Wall on June 6th 2019. Its slightly different today due to new-normal days though. Hope the normal days will start soon and current days are just passing cloud.
