With due respect to this new generation's extensive use of technology and gadgets, I still have few queries in my mind. And these queries are,
- On which platform this new gen is / sits / spends huge amount of time
- Are they only on social media?
- Or only on YouTube or alike video platforms?
- Are they just the users of these platforms or also wish to / try to dig out more information about the source, the origin or the creator etc.
- Do they know that websites also exists?
- Do they know every website is assigned with a unique address?
- If yes, then do they really know the parts of website address or they only believe, prefer and practice on clicking on the readily provided address?
- How about knowing URL is the synonymous term for the website address?
- If so, then how this address begins generally?
- Will the address be from www only?
I was taken a back when I narrated the website address in a very calm and step-by-step way for example: https://............
This is not my experience with one gen-z but many many.
The moment I spell https colon double slash, and they type something unusally different and blame that the website doesnt exists, the website is not popping up, i have given wrong details and what not, a list of reasons.
I was fortunate enough to see across the table how few gen-z type the website address's spelling properly and to my surprise I see many variations, as if they never ever heard of how the website address looks like, or contains.
One gen-z personality typed "https poland double slash", literally, where is colon and where is poland, OMG, unblievable. Whats up to these young once? What can be done for this, its so simple to understand and type and use like a everyday chore.
