"we are each other’s habitat"

It is generally said that, people should not shake hands with others, but instead go with the Indian way of greeting each other by touching their own hands in the Namaste position. I have read and heard multiple times that when someone shakes hands with each other, the positive and negative energies are exchanged unnecessarily, doing harm to one and benefit to the other. A quick question: can two people only shake hands? Or do they hold hands too? Holding hands signifies many beautiful things; experiencing awesome feelings; and, in short, getting a message that both belong to the same habitat, or, in a better manner, "we are each other’s habitat". Habitat includes increased oxytocin, feeling secured with each other, a special bond, being safe, reduced or no stress and anxiety, and what not. There are enormous benefits to holding hands. This habitat also includes its own language, so go ahead and hold hands to learn the language without speaking with each other directly. This language via touch and senses through the nerves reaches more quickly than other wordy ways, as if it’s one of the important communication tools. It works much more than "a pat on the back". Holding the tiny, cute little hands of our own kids gives us the fulfilment of creativity. Holding hands with friends, kids, or any close once regularly increases and makes the bond between the two stronger. My twins were, of course, only aware of holding my hand outside the home, while crossing the road, climbing stairs, etc., but many times they used to keep their tiny hands on mine to measure how big their tiny hands were as compared to mine. OMG, what a comparison indeed. While writing this anukatha after 18 odd years, I am witnessing those awesome moments as it is, as if kids are sitting in my laps right now. During those days my kids used to hold my mom’s hand as they used to enjoy that wrinkly touch a lot. While exchanging various thoughts, you know, those daily routine chats, unknowingly, me and my kids, even today, hold each other's hands and enjoy holding and talking simultaneously. So many different types of hands we hold in our tiny life, which means we are cherishing many close relationships and that also means we are truly blessed to share such close bonds in the same habitat. Wow.
