I was immediately captured by the new advertisement for the "Chupa Rustam" water purifier, designed to be built right beneath the kitchen sink. It’s an awesome glimpse into innovative, research-based design, and I absolutely loved it!
This change immediately led me to consider the broader logic behind it: modern houses are increasingly hiding all utilities, electric wiring, plumbing pipes, and now, even appliances. This raised a few questions:
Why keep the purifier inside the house at all? We could mount the entire unit outside where the main drinking water connection enters the property. The builder could install this feature, concealing the unit behind a locked cover. If the drinking water supply is purified before it enters the kitchen, one tap in every kitchen would then dispense pure, potable water seamlessly.
My thinking quickly went further. Hair loss is a growing problem in many households, often linked to hard water. Why not connect a purifier to the shower as well?
This concept brings to mind an idea I once read about, a water purification unit / system built right at the overhead tank. If an apartment complex already uses a three-tank system (one for drinking, one for flushing, and one for cleaning), integrating a high-volume purification unit at the source would be the most efficient solution for an entire apartment building. Tap water I used in the USA during my stay likely utilized a similar, large-scale purification mechanism.
My research-oriented mind couldn't stop there. The next logical step is the portable purifier for travel. Instead of constantly buying bottled water, which can be dubious and lead to health concerns while traveling, we need a small, personal, portable unit, one that can purify just a single glass of water at a time. This device could be a personal item, or perhaps even an integrated luxury feature in high-end automobiles.
My interest lies purely in identifying all the various strategic places where a water purifier could be positioned. It is up to the experts to solve the engineering challenge of scaling the purification technology to fit these varied locations and sizes.
Happy drinking!
