While just surfing through my YouTube I accidently came across one informative podcast by very well know Dr Anand Nadkarni with Savani Talwalkar the famous tabla mastro. The topic, the people and the known channel made me watch this podcast which is obviously is in Marathi. It is hardly 20+ minutes podcast which I felt mesmerizing for many reasons. Being a researcher this podcast gave me many points of discussion to share with upcoming researchers. The entire journey of Savani is nothing less than an active research life cycle. Hence I glued to it and immediately thought of my upcoming FDP week wherein I should share this. But the original podcast is in Marathi and FDP week participants are all Hindi speaking. Now what? I tried my best, spent many days, nights with multiple AI tools but none came to my rescue literally.
I knocked the doors of all LLMs but still all efforts in vain.
Then I thought of some of my best students who are mastro of AI and working with sounds, graphics, animations and what not. I immediately requested them for help, but again no complete or proper solution received from their side too. I know all are busy with their routine, work and pressure with time lines. Hence I woke up the researcher or solution orientation within me, shook things from the core and found the straight forward, simple and easy solution. This was standing in front of my eyes and I was searching all over, here and there.
Finally I went to Notebook LM. First explained what I want. In the initial phase even this platform failed, it only provided me with list of steps to follow, multiple ways to do things couple of times. Then I said point blank, just produce equivalent hindi discussion without hampering the details and it generated that file immediately. So now I am going to play the Marathi podcast on mute iconizing one browser window and in another window I will play this Hindi version, so that participants will be able to listen. After a while, as the podcast only show two of them Savani and Anand in one frame always instead I will only play the audio in Hindi. After playing this Hindi Podcast the forum will be open for discussions.
I am sure this Garbha Sanskar approach will prove wonders.
I will keep experimenting with Hindi subtitles addition still, but at present I found the solution. Wow. Felt nice. I was able to achieve a way out.
