2463: Concentric Circles

In yesterday’s episode of Mere Sai, I came across a very simple yet deeply meaningful thought.

The current storyline in the serial revolves around the British era, where foreign products including clothes, shoes, kitchen utensils and many other items are being promoted aggressively by the British authorities, while Indian leaders are encouraging people to support locally made products.

Amidst all this, Sai quietly explains something much bigger than buying and selling.

He goes to the school, takes a dried stick and draws three concentric circles on the ground in the school courtyard. Then he places a small stone exactly at the center.

Sai then asks the teacher:
“In which circle does this stone belong?”

The obvious answer was:
“All three.”

Because once the stone is part of the innermost circle, it automatically becomes part of the larger circles too.

Sai then beautifully explains the meaning behind those circles.

The innermost circle represents you and your family. The second circle represents the society around you. And the outermost larger circle represents the entire world. He says that if love, respect, care and inclusivity genuinely begin within the smallest circle, they naturally start flowing outward too. Loving families together create compassionate societies. And compassionate societies together shape a better world. One cannot behave with love and respect only inside the house and then behave entirely differently with the outside world. Core values eventually reflect everywhere.

Such a simple visualization. Yet so powerful.

Sometimes the deepest lessons are explained not through lengthy speeches, but through a small stone placed quietly inside three circles drawn on dry soil.
