You know what, I genuinely feel YouTube Shorts as a format were made for people like me.
I also deeply enjoy Pocket Films and similar short storytelling formats. Tiny narrations, simple observations, short experiences, meaningful advertisements… I absolutely love them.
One more person who unknowingly shaped this liking in me is Respected Sudha Murthyji. I have read many of her books over the years. What fascinates me most is not just the stories themselves, but the way she narrates them. Reflections from real life, presented in the simplest and shortest form possible. And frankly speaking, for a person of her stature, it would be extremely easy to write huge, bulky volumes filled with endless detailing. People would still buy and read them wholeheartedly.
But she chose otherwise.
Short.
Simple.
Straight from life.
That style stayed with me somewhere.
Actually, I was not like this at all before.
I officially started teaching at the age of 15, and elaborate explanation almost became my synonym over the years. Mapping concepts, giving examples, expanding thoughts, detailed narration… that was my natural mode.
But then came another turning point.
As my beloved son grew older and our conversations became deeper, one sentence became his permanent response whenever I started explaining something:
“Mom, please come to the point.”
Every single time.
Slowly, unknowingly, all these influences started shaping my writing too.
Now these tiny posts simply flow through me. Small observations. Everyday moments. A few lines. Nothing heavy. Almost like slices from a daily diary.
And honestly, I enjoy this version immensely.
Maybe that is why the moment I sit with Pocket Films, short videos, tiny advertisements, concise narrations or meaningful Shorts, I instantly connect with them.
Interestingly, they have now become an integral part of my AI workshops too.
Somewhere, everything completed a full circle for me.
Teaching.
Storytelling.
Observations.
Technology.
Tiny formats.
And happiness hidden inside simplicity.
