My father always used
to quote the importance of trees in an individual's life (as they give shadow, fruits, flowers, fragrance etc) and according to
him our personality should be like a tree “Give without expecting anything back
from anyone”. Keep giving always. Not only my father but yes it was a part of my studies too, heard it from my teachers also.
A step ahead, the other
day I have realised one more entity from whom everyone can learn about “Giving”
and they are the construction workers. As my dad was a Civil Engineer and as our
country is "under-construction always", saw the teams / people working on many construction
sites keenly to understand their dedication and consistent hard work for
sure. Yeah, no doubt its their profession, but those workers never look back,
just move on to the next site and then next thereafter. They never sit and
think who must be staying in that house they built?, whether the owners liked it or not etc. First of all they do not have any time to think and they don’t need to as
they just follow what is instructed to them and generally they do not keep any expectations at all. As we
are aware those who construct a permanent roof for others stay in the most
temporary place. During my childhood days I used to observe most relaxing and a
bit arrogant behaviour of these construction workers, but now the scene is
totally different.
Lets bow down whenever
possible to all those hands who worked hard to give us the roof on our head(s)
which protects us from all seasons, may it be our house(s) or school buildings or office(s) where
we stayed, learned and worked for so many years till date.
Just Give you’re best
always at home or work and move on. You may wish to look back hardly for a
moment to learn, unlearn and relearn but moving on by Giving to others
is utmost important. Giving may include sharing knowledge, food, education,
good thoughts, experiences and the list is endless, depends on individual and
his / her capabilities.
Yeah there are many
other professions which involves massive and huge amount of hard work with associated
dangers. But I am thinking and thanking to construction workers at this moment in
this tiny write-up only. Why so? because like trees and their shadow, fruits, flowers etc. these construction site workers / teams provide the basic necessity called house or roof / shed on my head in which I
live with every day as a major part of my life.
